Celebration Lutheran Church is led by a dedicated Congregation Council made up of members elected by the congregation to help guide the life and ministry of the church.
Celebration Lutheran Church operates as a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and as a Tennessee nonprofit corporation. The church is guided by its constitution and bylaws, which help shape the leadership and governance of the congregation.
Each year at the annual congregational meeting, members elect three council members to serve three-year terms. If a vacancy occurs during the year, the council may appoint someone to serve until the next annual meeting, when the congregation elects a member to complete the remainder of the term. Council terms follow the calendar year, running January through December.
The Congregation Council meets monthly to prayerfully discuss and oversee the ministry, mission, and business of the church. Council members also serve as liaisons for key ministry areas and committees throughout the congregation.
